Sneak Peek of My Novel!
So I’ve got this novel I’ve been working on for two years and I’m almost done and I’d promised a few people that when I was close to finishing, I would post a little “preview” to find out if people wanted me to continue or try to publish, blah blah blah. Plus if I don’t, Anais would kill me. Now please no hateful comments; my work is open to revisions and it may or may not be too good…..keep in mind I stared when I was 11 (in the sixth grade)
“….I held my breath, closed my eyes and slowly emptied out my 13-year old piggy bank in hopes of at least 10 dollars. As clashing sounds of metal coins hit against my wooden floor, I resisted the urge to peak. When I emptied out all I could, I counted my change very slowly. My total? Five dollars and sixty-seven cents. It wasn’t nearly enough. I sighed, knowing that within one week, the little red paper I feared would come showing up at my front door. The little red eviction notice.”
